Each one of those songs is important to me: Truth Is is for the one I may never get over; Ordinary People, the daily reminder that this is all a process and that the dichotomy of life is infinite: you just never know; Can't Wait the acknowledgement that when we want something, it's an immedate desire that we oft feel must be satiated immediately.

Just Don't Do It: What NOT to do as a guest [or non-guest] of a wedding!

Many of you may not know this, but along with bad grammar, I do have another category that encompasses a large number of pet peeves for me (that made sense in my head). Weddings ! Below follows the list of things that you as a guest- or non-guest of a wedding should not do! Be careful... chances are I will step on some toes with this note!... and yes you should be embarrassed. First and foremost: Know that only those listed on the invitation that you receive are invited . There is a lot of work that goes into addressing [proper] wedding invitations. Most are hand-written either by the bride/groom, the bride's friend(s), or a really expensive calligrapher. The names that they put on the envelope were very intentional. Simply put, if the invitation says Miss Juanita Hancock, then only Juanita should show up. If it says Miss Juanita Hancock and guest then fine, bring a date, otherwise fly solo. I spent a bit of trying to figure out what to title this piece, but nothing seemed to hit it just right. There was "I Loved Him. And He Hates Me." However, this leaves out the finality of the current un-situation. There was "One Last Cry," but that makes way for the word never, and I'm not quite sure that I will never cry again. Then there was "It's Just Different ." I had to settle for an untitled piece. Today he told me that there he thinks we need to close the lines of communication between us, and not talk to each other at all anymore period. I do not dispute this charge, which I initiated many times previously, but was unable to keep; when he says it, it's just different. I have known him nearly all of my life [about 18 of 22 years], six of which I have been head over heels inamoured, infuriated, miffed, speechless, livid and in love with him.
