Neat United States History Factoid

Did you know there was one U.S. state that no longer exists? In 1784 the U.S. had a state called Franklin, named after Benjamin Franklin. But four years later, it was incorporated into Tennessee.

How cool! We should have left it Franklin.

Really? That's cool! I work for the Philadelphia tourism office and we are getting ready to celebrate Ben Franklin's 300th birthday, so I'm trying to gather all these fun facts about him... like, did you know he invented swim fins?
